On September 12, 2023, Prof. Yesha Sivan participated as a keynote at the IDF Tech Division’s Excellency Ceremony. Sivan talked about digital leadership in the age of AGI (Artificial General Intelligence) and introduced the AGI Elephant to the participants.
“If you say there is an elephant in the room, you mean that there is an obvious problem or difficult situation that people do not want to talk about.” (The Cambridge Dictionary.) Prof. Sivan echoes this meaning when referencing the AGI Elephant: the new technologies that change our lives in the present and more so into the future – the exciting opportunities and the alarming risks.
Prof. Sivan presented relevant case-studies, elaborated about Machine Learning vs. human learning, introduced existing AI tools, LLMs, data and cyber issues, and the connection to digital leaders in the army or in business.
