I was able to use bring a Star Wars stormtrooper figure to my house using Augment
I had the pleasure meeting @jfChianetta, one of the founders of Augment, a paris based firm in the area of Augmented Reality. Their application (for IOS and Android) works very well with a special marker.
I created a 2-min video demo. You can experience this by simply downloading the paper marker from Augment‘s site, after loading the app from the store (app name: Augment — search for it).
We will further explore this in the Augmented Reality at ICIS workshop in Dec 2012.
